The Roanoke 7 Summits is for everyone, beginner and expert’s hikers alike. The 7 Summits hikes a perfect fit for hikers looking for a challenge or those looking to reconnect with the trail. Whatever your reason, we’re certain you’ll have fun hiking some of the best trails the Roanoke Valley has to offer.

Registration Options
When registering for the Roanoke 7 Summits you’ll notice you have a few options. For those looking for a Guided-Group experience, there are 3 choices (Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday). When you register for one of these selections, you are guaranteed a spot on the hike for designated day of the week for 7 weeks.
Guided hikes are only $55 for all 7 weeks. By signing up for guided hikes you will be provided transportation and leadership each week. We chose this format in part to help build lasting hiking friendships and community with other hikers, in addition to limiting confusion for you and for our staff leading these hikes.
In addition to leadership and transportation, you'll also receive a few other perks. Each week one lucky person, selected at random, will receive a hiking related give-away. You'll also receive weekly updated with tips and tricks to becoming a better hiker, to help you conquer each summit.

We understand that there may be those who wish to be apart of the 7 Summits but prefer a more private experience and wish to hike on their own. If you find yourself in this category, we have an option for you as well. For just $9, you can choose a self-led option (no formal leadership or transportation), which still allows you to enjoy the perks of the program and be apart of the Roanoke 7 Summits.
Just wondering, if we decide to go with the self-guided option is the $9 for a shirt or is it a donation to the parks & rec for trail upkeep, etc. or is there something else that I maybe just didn't see/think of?
ReplyDeleteAll registration fees will go directly to the program, we’re not here to make a profit. This means, any fees collected will be put back directly to the program. Such as, fees will be used to cover instructional classes, prizes, administrative fees, trails, etc.

ReplyDeleteRegistration has been extended to Sept. 6 for Led Hikes and registrations for Self-Led will remain open until the end of the program.
